Hope for Africa

Bringing life to life

Africa is sensational and the people who live there are amazing!

But it is the hardest-tried continent. Those who live here – people, animals and nature alike – are struggling to survive. Lack of water (and more) is a major threat to their livelihoods. We learned that what Africa has to offer is beautiful, valuable and unique. I realized that we, the privileged, investing a little, can have a big impact… we can change and even save lives

About the project

Because all the people there need help, we decided to visit and help them.

FUTURE PLANS
Main Objective
There is a pressing need to dig a water well in Chasimba village, Malindi area of Kenya, at a depth of about 150-200 m. Generations – children, the elderly, adults and animals – of four villages in the area will benefit from WATER that means LIFE!
Benefits:
– Thirst quenching: Providing clean drinking water for the community and animals.
– Food source: Enables the cultivation of beans, maize, vegetables and animal husbandry.
– Hygiene and health: The ability to wash children and clothes.
Now, the only source of drinking water (which is not even sweet but semi-sweet) is that carried by children daily in pots carried on their heads from miles away. Famine and drought are ravaging the area.
The cost of digging a water well:
The average cost of a well is €20,000-25,000 and varies depending on the depth of the well.
